Cast & Crew – Director – Rohit Shetty | Actors – Pooja Hegde – Mala | Jacqueline Fernandez – Bindu | Ranveer Singh as Roy | Varun Sharma – Joy | Murali Sharma – Dr Roy Jamnadas | Music – Badshah, Amar Mohile & Devi Prasad
Plot -Set in the 60s, it is a story of two sets of identical twins being separated at an orphanage. Dr Roy Jamnadas, is working on something like an IVF. He firmly believes that the concept of blood relation is overrated. The world should rather give importance to human relations, irrespective of religion, race or community. To prove his point, he puts up these identical twins for adoption to two different families in two different cities. However, he stays in touch with both these families to keep an eye on his experiment. Years later, a comedy of errors ensues when one set of twins decides to visit the city where the other set of twins runs a Cirkus.
Despite a battery of the most talented actors, with all the pop colours in background and all slapstick dialogues, this film fails to deliver. Directed by Rohit Shetty, a man who understand his public – like no one else – has gone wrong and how. This comedy has punches, but no laughter.
Highlights
- Only Music
My verdict – In the world of cinema & literature, it is often said that writing comedy is the most difficult genre. A film which has the most talented star cast, fails to deliver because of bad writing. This comedy has punches but no laughter at all.
