2020… is that year which will be narrated to generations to come. This year stalled our lives like never before. But a year cannot be wasted. Right!

While we are more aatm-nirbhar than ever, it can be a good idea to add some new skills to one’s profile. Though India is in process of opening up from a six-month-long lockdown, the new normal is here to stay.
While the weekdays are still dedicated to Work-From-Home, let the weekends be engaged in Learning-from-Home (LFH)!!
Here’s a curation of some of the best courses we found on the internet –
fsmbuddycom: Relevant to all ages, it is an online learning platform started by Furtado School of Music. One can choose courses from fields like music, dance, language, academics, creative writing, and storytelling. The best part is, there are specific modules for both kids & adults. It is such a well-etched e-learning platform that some of their courses also cover, the course and the resources required. For instance, a beginner keyboard enthusiast can enroll in a combo offer that offers the course and an option of taking the keyboard on rent too.

anybodycanbake.com: There’s no bigger magic than seeing a well-proofed bread loaf getting baked. And if that can be made healthy, it is simply divine. The lady behind this venture is a mother-turned-home baker-turned a professional and that is exactly what she inspires others to do. She masters the art of healthy baking with healthier grains and sugars. Though she offers both long-term and short-term courses. Her USP is the offline support that comes along, once you enroll with her. https://anybodycanbake.com/sonia-gupta/
GoogleDigitalunlocked: Trust Google’s expertise to ace your game in the digital world. This website offers a curation of courses from Google and other partners like Coursera & the University of Auckland. The modules include courses like digital marketing, career development, and data technology. For those who enjoy everything free like me – this one is a treat!

Harvard University: And there’s Harvard too, and that too offering free courses! There is a total of 85 courses to choose from. Be it business planning, art & design, or medicine, there are many short-term courses. Of course, the list of paid courses is varied and much longer.

Learn with Unity: Master the art of touch and 3D with an online learning portal from the Unity group. They are apparently considered leaders in creating digital games and programs. Update your skills in coding, artificial intelligence, and even online gaming.

MHRD: My personal favourite. This is an initiative by the Ministry of Higher Education and it offers a link to various other government-led e-learning websites. Powered by content from CBSE and various other Indian education boards, I found it an extremely enriching resource to visit.
